Taking a Country Ride

The part of Delmarva Eastern Shore, where Rambob and I live….there’s not much traffic. But there are exceptions…like any time between Memorial Day to Labor Day, there may or may not be beachgoers flocking our beaches to get their tan on…

…or like the first weekend in June and the last weekend in September, there may or may not be hundreds of thousands Nascar fans flocking our local track to watch a race…

…or like the first weekend in November, there may or may not be hundreds of thousands people flocking our downstate to watch pumpkins fly….

…or like the end of June, there may or may not be hundreds of thousands  people flocking our local track to watch bands play for three days straight. So, yea. There are exceptions to the amount of traffic we have here but normally its a laid back, easy pace. So much so, most of the time we hop onto the Polaris Ranger and take a ride on some back roads…..

This particular day, I wanted to take some “treats” I made to the 86-year-old farmer we hunt on…

It’s pretty much a smooth ride, just cruising along…

Until we decide to take the long shortcut…

We are always keeping our eyes out hoping to see signs of what the deer have been up to….

And just when you think you’ve hit an obstacle…

It ends up being nothing but a false alarm… yea Rambob!

  1. TexWisGirl says:

glad you’re still looking out for your property owner friend. :)

  2. Even if we didn’t hunt on him, I would still take him goodies. Canning brings back so many memories about his wife, mom and grandma canning that he tells me a different story every time we go over there. Its cool.

    Happy New Years to you!!!
